Great apartment complex! We've loved living here so far. It is clean and quiet and the other tenants are friendly. After living in busier parts of the city, it is wonderful not to be able to hear any noise from traffic during the night or even from other units.
We had a seamless move-in experience and were so appreciative of all the support from the leasing office and maintenance staff throughout the process.
We moved into the Dove Valley apartment complex recently and have been very impressed with every element of the property here! On arrival, the apartment was clean and ready to go - any missing items were addressed quickly and resolved upon move in. The complex feels very safe, clean, and quiet. Amenities are great as well! The icing on the cake here is the staff - shout out to Aranza and Sandra - they are exceptional!
***Edit to say: I was let out of my lease and thankfully never have to see this apartment again.***
Just moved into Dove Valley a week ago, sight unseen from across the country due to work. I wish I had visited so I could’ve made an informed decision, but I can’t change it now.
Pro’s: Aranza in the leasing office is so nice and was super helpful during the move in process. The community seems safe and is in a quiet area (besides some street noise and the occasional plane). Apartments look updated and good from afar. It’s in close proximity to stores and things.
Con’s: Upon receiving my keys I noticed the apartment was in shambles. A hinge on cupboard in the kitchen was completely rotted out and when I opened it, it fell apart. The countertop has water rot and is peeling back. One of my shelves in the pantry broke and fell when I put one thing on it. The entire apartment looks like it got the “landlord special” and was haphazardly spray painted to cover the underlying dinginess. My hot water heater wasn’t turned on so I had to have maintenance come by on day 2 (he was super nice and apologetic). There is no sound insulation and I can hear every single step my upstairs neighbors take as if they are stomping, which keeps me up at all hours of the night.
I’m sure I’ll grow accustomed to some of these things, but overall just so disappointed in the lack of attention to detail and that I am now stuck here for the next year.
Update: Maintenance came and fixed as much as they were able to in the apartment, making it much more feasible to stay. Additionally they have a 30 day guarantee that if I do want to leave, I can, which is reassuring. Overall just the kindness of the leasing office in a hard time has made my experience here better, which is why I updated my review.
My fiancé and I just moved here and we are very happy with our decision. The neighborhood is quiet and clean. The team at Dove Valley is extremely friendly and helpful. Tanya has been our main point of contact since we first started looking at moving here and she is absolutely amazing. She is so kind and thoughtful. Dom and Justin are polite and knowledgeable and are quick to handle any issues that you may have in your apartment. You would be hard pressed to find a better place to rent.
All going Great so far, just had little 'surprise' this morning (didn't receive any prior communction about it), - our car was towed off from our parking spot (luckily still on property area/ so we found it shortly after & I was able to go to work..) due to repavement, & we were informed it'll cost us $70. Would've been good to receive letter/notice @ least 24 hrs prior. All great/Nice pleasant staff + New Appliances = Awesome:)
Thank You for Welcoming us:)
I was impressed with the Assistant Manager: “Aranza Reyes” She was very motivated and professional at her job! Her listening ability and response to my questions was second to none. The leadership she displayed was a credit to Dove Valley Apartments!
Thanks, Randy
My apartment's ceiling was destroyed by the idiocy of my upstairs neighbor. It took 2 months for management to fix it. So many "appointments" were made that no one showed up for. I was living with a piss stained ceiling and a hole in it for way too long. When it came time to paint over it, they didn't have the same color so they painted half my ceiling with a color that didn't match and told me to live with it. I am still living with a clearly visible, two color ceiling. (EDIT): **They are taking steps to ensure this is remedied. In reality, this was the vendor's fault anyways and they do have a new vendor now. Overall, a good place to live**
Once a year, they also shut down their parking lots, entrances, and exits to re-pave things. Normally, I would be happy they are trying to upkeep the place. However, during this time, there is never a place to park and its impossible to get around due to how things are shut down. I cant even begin to explain how many problems this causes - especially when you have a regular day job.
During Winter, there is essentially no work done on walkways to ensure safety. Someone I hold very dear almost lost their life due to intracranial bleeding from falling and hitting their head last winter after a snowstorm.
There is no easy recycle system to use. You would have to go completely out of your way to even try to recycle. And the trash system that is in place sounds nice at first, but it is not worth the fee. You end up just buying other trash cans and taking it out on your own, because its unreliable and you are only allowed one bin which has to be placed outside to be taken in the first place.
